Our hot chocolate bar consisted of both homemade sipping chocolate & marshmallows, caramel sauce, chocolate ganache, peppermint simple syrup, whipped cream, mini marshmallows & crushed peppermint sticks.....and to top it off, I made swizzle sticks out of treat sticks & tinsel from the shop (because let's face it, a custom beverage always tastes better with something sparkly in it!) We also nibbled on peppermint meringues & creme filled gingersnap sandwich cookies...and if that wasn't enough sugar, I felt the need to throw in "frosted" shirley temples.
Of course, no party would be complete without an activity. I decided that making gingerbread houses would be a fun way to spend a chilly winter afternoon. I purchased kids sized paper chef hats and embellished them with cupcake liner & coffee filter flowers so they looked like glamourous little pastry chefs.
I can honestly say that the kids had a wonderful afternoon & I had the best time putting this party together for them. There is nothing quite like watching you children enjoy a little Christmas magic.
Happy Holidays, Friends!

Stevie
